GARDEN PARTY.

The weather was delightful on Wednesday, consequently a large number of people attended the .•Minimi Garden Party of All Saints’ Ladies’ Guild, which was held in (lie Vicarage grounds. The ladies arranged Hie stalls as follows: —General, produce, (lowers. Afternoon lea was provided, (be tables being arranged in the shelter oi the manv (fees. Tim children wore not forgotten, there being a plentiful .supply oi' ice cream (provided by Mrs Desmond), and soft drinks, while much amusement was created in the attempts to pin the tail on the donkey. Their removal would indeed be a loss to the church, and on behalf of the Guild he hoped she would iiccept the present as a token of; their-high regard and esteem with all good wishes for the future. Mrs Barber then graciously made the prescnlalion. Mrs .leaks leelingß thanked all for their kindness, and said it had always been a pleasure to help. She expressed the wish that the Guild would always prosper, and exlended a hearty wch-ome to all to call and see her in Wellington, and to have a piece of cake out of the handsome cake basket. The partv was a splendid success, and the proceedings were considerably brightened by the music by Mr Betty's Orchestra, which consisted of Miss Betty and Messrs Betty, Gabites, Graham and Walls.
