The followiny resolution was passed‘.—’l hal the headquarters be Palmerston North, a temporary appointment of clerk ’to be left to- the elqiinuaii; that Mr Jickdl (Palmerston North) be enyayod to carry out repairs to the Gorge bridge on the ten per cent, basis, and also to prepare a comprehensive rcporl for improvements; that the Minister of Public Works be asked to yive pound for pound authority subsidy tor bridles The linaueial arrangements were left to the ehairnmn and Mr lanklater.
