OX ST. PATRICK’S DA AC A public meeting was held last night to consider the question of holding' a picnic and sports on St. Patrick’s Day. Dr. Alaudl was voted to the chair. After discussion it was decided that a sports gathering be held on March J.711i (St. Patrick’s Day), under (he auspices of tiifi Citizens’ and Friendly Societies, any surplus from same to.be donated to the Soldiers’ Memorial Fund. The following committee was set up wit’ll power to add to their number: .Messrs Dr. Aland!, G. Huntley, Christie, Patterson, G. King, Rider, T. Smith, Baildon, Whibley, Furrie, Perreau and Bryant. ■ Afessrs Christie, Bryant, Roore, Perreau and Rider were appointed to canvass for donations, ole., and report at a meeting to be field on February I.lth, when the programme will be drawn up.
