WEDDING.

BARBER—PEARLESS. A very prelwedding - was solemnised in All Sainls’ Chureli, Otaki, on (he 21st inst., the contracting parlies being Weston James, only son of Air and Mrs R. 11. Barber, of Te Horn (and late of Box I on), and Nancy, third daughler of Dr. and All's W. R. Pearlers, of Brighiwater, Nelson. The Rev, G. F. Petrie ollieiated, and the bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Air 0. J. D'Afh; in the unavoidable absence of her father. The bride, who looked very charming, wore an ivory erepe-de-ehene gown with silk fringed paniers and deftly placed pink posies, the whole being Ikii.-hed with pearls; she also wore the beautiful old family veil with clusters of orange blossoms forming a crown round her head, and carried a shower boiU|iiel ol pink roses, carnations.and maidenhair fern with pink streamers. The two bridesmaids, Miss Joan Fearless (sister of the bride) and Aliss Kathleen Barber (cousin -of the bridegroom), wore pale pink and pale blue dowered voile dresses respectively, with Leghorn hats trimmed to match, and shower buuquels, one of pink carnations and (he oilier of pink sweet peas, both being lightened with sprays of gypsophlin and having ribbon streamers. The best man was Mr S. Barber cousin of the bridegroom, and Air S, Austin aelud as groomsman. After the ceremony , the guests were entertained at (he residence of Ihe bride’s brother-in-law, Airs J. 1 1 . D'Ath acting as hostess. The numerous wedding presents were on view, and the house was very artistically decorated with masses of roses and carnations, all of which, with the bouquets, came from ‘‘Ereildouiie,’’ the residence of Airs J. 11. D’Ath',
