The executive <>f the North Canterbury Coal Merchants Association lias forwarded a resolution to the Minister of Munition' staling that in view of the large stoyk-i of hard coal held by the Dovernmout and the small proportion allotted to retailers for public distribution, all ruil\vay services, other than essential, should he cut out so as to enable the public to secure hard coal to mix with lignites.
