The Government Meteorologist wires as follows : The indications are for freshening northerly winds strong to gale, and backing by north to west. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, with increasing haze and cloudiness for change. Barometer falling soon. Seas moderate, tides poor; sea increasing.
