The lirsl games in (he Triangular Contest between Boston, Shannon and Levin were played at Levin yesterday afternoon. Bain fell ail the morning, and it looked as if the games would have to he again postponed, but a little after one o'clock Levin advised -both Shannon and Buxton that the weather had cleared, and the games would be played. By this lime, however, Shannon had given up all hope of playing, and it was 100 late for them to get their teams together, and the two games between that Chib and Levin will now be played nex AVeduesday. The Levin green was heavy after the rain, but (be games were got oil. There was a very heavy shower during the games, necessitating play having to cease for about a quarter of an hour. In the two matches played, Levin and Boston each won one and lost one, the aggregate scores being: Levin d!), Eoxlon 3(. Both games were very closely contested throughout. In the Pollock —AVoods match the scores were, even on (lie sixth, ninth, thirteenth and eighteenth heads', and Boston scored singles on the last three heads.
