LAUNCH DISAPPEARS.
MISSING SINCE SUNDAY.
Some alarm lias been caused at. Wellington by (lie, disappearanee.of a motor launch which has not been reported or seen since 1 p.m. on Snndav.
The launch, a converted whale bout, pat out on a lisbing excursion early on Sunday morning, the occupants being the owner, Air E. Carding, confectioner, of Brooklyn, a young man named George William Kipple, an employee of; Ihe Public Works Department, Samuel Mason, of Lyall Bay, a City Corporation employee, Joseph Woods, a painter in (he employ of W ells, painting contractor, of Taranaki Street, and a machinist named Hans Prickling, of Brooklyn. A sixth member of the parly is believed to he a Maori.
LAUNCH PICKED UP
A TRYING TIME. Wellington, This Afternoon. The missing launch party was picked up by the Ngakuti off Cape Campbell at 0.30 a.m. to-day, and brought to Wellington. They had a trying experience.*, being blown about lor two days in the gale. The men were almost exhausted, but are now much recovered. Their launch behaved remarkably well throughout the severe weather.
