CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

The quarterly meeting of members of (he local Chamber of Commerce was held last night, (he President (Mr M. E, Perreau) presiding over a fair attendance.

On the motion of the President, Air E. J. Murphy was elected a member of the Chamher. The question of a water and drainage scheme and the installation of tire-lighting appliances was discussed at considerable length, and it was eventually decided to write to (he Borough Council, respectfully recommending that the ratepayers be given an opportunity of voting on n scheme at as early a dale as possible.
