The Dixon Cup changed hands again on Saturday, when a rink from the Pahialua Club, consisting of

Welsh, Chattwin, Dr. Patterson and llowat (skip) defeated the Pa liners- . ton North Club holders —W. E. Jones, Ramsay, 11. Seifert and N. 11. Nash (skip) —on the hitter’s green, by JO points to 15. The bidders were not up to their usual form, while the challengers on the other hand played a particularly line game, Dr. Patterson (No. 3) giving a good exhibition of drawing, while the skip (Hewat) played especially ■ well, more particularly in the second half of the game. A match for the Munson and Barr Cup was also played on Saturday between the challengers from the Manawatn Club, consisting of Corbridge, Pastier, Radford and Brackenridgo (skip) and the Palmerston North holders —Welch, Siuimonds, A. Pickering and J. Smith (skip). The result was a w.in for the holders by 2G points to 13, ’The first match in the Triangular contest between (he Eoxton, Levin and Shannon Clubs, postponed from last week on account of the wet weather, will be played on the Levin green to-morrow. The Eoxton teams are: D. Wbibley, Barr, Mandl, E. Wbibley(s), and Heasman, Walker, Christie, Woods (s). In the ladder competition yesterday afternoon, D. Wbibley 2U beat Heasman 19.
