HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A. Committee meeting of Ihe ahove was held on Thursday evening, presided over by Air Y. L. Barber, president. It was decided to forward a letter of condolence to the family of 1 lie late Air P. Revlon. Airs E. Procter was appointed a member of the Committee, vice Aliss Woodroofe resigned, and Mrs Blanchette in place of Airs Jas. Newth. The following stewards were appointed: —Pot plants, Air D. Winkley; cut blooms, Airs Renton and Aliss S. Barber; roses, Airs G. H. Symons; sweet peas, Aliss Signal; fruit and vegetables, 'Messrs Henderson and C. H. Symons; dairy produce, cookery and home industries, Airs Jas. Robinson and assistants ; fancy work and school sewing, 'Aliss Speirs and Aliss 0. Eye; decorative, Airs Blanchette and Miss Barber; school work, Air Furrie; miscellaneous, Air Galland; tea room, Airs E. Procter; door stewards, Alessrs Hendei’son, Harding, J. Ross, YTiibley and Alurphy. It was decided to ask Air Osborne’s orchestra and the Borough Band to assist with a .programme of music. A fetter was read from Mr 11. Yltchell, of Otaki; and an ex-Pre-sident of the Society, making some valuable suggestions in reference to the classification of bulbs. It was decided to thank Air YTtchell for his suggestions, and for his continued interest in the welfare of the Society. Sevei'al accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting closed.
