CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor,) yir.—I notice that the Borough ■ Council has given notice to Mr Hamer to remove a temporary building forthwith. But why make fish of one and llesh of another. What about the slice! used for patriotic' shop days, next to Mr Healey's. Is that to be allowed to ornament the Main Street? —Yours, etc., FAIR PLAY. [WE understand that the shop referred to is to be offered for sale and removal.—Ed. H.] (To the Editor.) Sir. —I notice that Mr E. Firani, Chairman of the Wanganui Education Board, and defeated Reform candidate for Wanganui, is going to have a Hut ter for the , Wellington Central seat, in the Liberal interests at the general election. He’s a bit of a political lightning change artist, and no mistake. Well, Six*, how would it do for him to tell a. Wellington audience of his effrontery in occupying the chair at the Foxton meeting of householders in defiance 'of the Act? He might also allude to his preference for the fifty thousand indecent pictures in schools in preference to German-made pianos. It would bo a pleasant interlude. He has a few other odious comparisons that he might tickle the ears of the groundlings with, and I believe he could place on public exhibition that famous Foxton watch which goes on wheels but always registers 8 pan. Shades of Seddon! What has happened to Liberalism? —Yours, etc., . ANTI-FRAME-UP.
