Sir. —1 :im not much at ( lie Id ter writing “stunt,” but I would like to say that ,in my humble opinion the good folk of Eoxton would confer a greater compliment to the Eoxton returned men if instead of spending £SO or £OO on a dinner, that the money collected be put to a more useful purpose. 1 would not like the ladies vo think that the good spirit which suggested a “blow-out'’ would not be appreciated, but alter all it would only last with’ the least, hut if a suitable memorial teas sot up it woidd remain to remind present and future generations (hat Eoxton answered the call in (he hour of their country's peril, and remind them of loyally and duly. I don’t think, Sir, we should forget; -An/.ao Day, and the ladies on that day in each year could arrange a soldiers’ reunion.—l am, etc*., EPIC EKE.
