GASLIGHT DISPLAY AT THE C. M. ROSS COY.'S
On Wednesday evening the C. M. Ross Coy inaugurated the spring season Avith a gaslight display, which we had the pleasure of vlcaving, and must congratulate- the linn on their fine shoAving of new season’s goods. In No. 1 window we .were shown some’of the Ucav season’s millinery, and one is struck With the styles, which are very sensible and effective, the trimmings this season being of a clinging nature, and not only look stylish but are very serviceable. In No. 2 windoAV the firm are showing some of the newest creations in Voiles. This useful material is always popular, and anyone AA’ho could not make a selection from the large and varied selection showing must indeed be very fastidious. In n'ddition to the Avindow display the whole of the main 1 shop floor space is artistically decorated in spring goods, including iicav costumes, blouses, voiles, zephyrs and soft furnishings, and the effect, as viewed by the passer-by, is very effective. In the shoAvroorn ladies Avill find a profusion of ugav blouses, costumes, millinery, flowers and lingarcc. The firm have also opened up in their clothing and mercery, departments ii very fine range of braces, suits, Ucav shirts in cotton and silks, a fine range of new ties, collars, bats, and cordially invite your inspection. In conversation with the Manager, Ave learn that prices are practically on a par with last season’s in very few instances are they higher, and in some eases they arc lower. The firm endeavours at all times to keep prices doAvn. Special slioav days —To-day, Friday and Saturday, and the public are extended a hearty Avelcpme to call and inspect the ucav goods.* »
