SHIPPING.

The s.s. Kennedy arrived from Wellington on her initial trip in the Foxton trade on Sunday morning, with a cargo of general. She sailed again last night for Wellington with a cargo of tallow and hemp, -and is expected back again witii general towards the end of the week. The s.s. Blenheim, from Wellington wjli general, arrived this morning. She will sail again for Wellington to-night with a cargo of hemp. Captain E. J. Harvey, who traded to Foxton for so many years as captain of the Queen of the South, and who only relinquished that position a couple of months before the wreck of the vessel, is at present, master of the Kennedy. The first mate is Air J. R. Owen, formerly captain of the Queen of the South. Air F. Lawton is second mate, and Air D. Ross engineer, both formerly on the Queen of the South.
