RED SHIELD CLUB .

The campaign to raise funds for the Club, inaugurated by the Ladies’ Auxiliary, was commenced yesterday afternoon by the snh-eom-millee, consisting of Mesdames W. E. Barber (leader), Currie, Tyer, K. Moore and Keltow, and Miss Fraser, who gave an afternoon in the clubroom. Musical items’were rendered by Mesdames- Cronquest, Paine, Healey, Kellow, Freeman, Percy Easton and Fnrrie, Misses I. Bohinson, Fraser, Bryant and S. Barber, while an interesting competition was won by Miss Inez Austin. Flowers presented by Mrs A. S; East on sold readily. The amount raised was ,C 3 13s 3d. Tlie'same committee will continue their work by holding a, shop day at the Patriotic Shop on (Saturday next, when gifts of any description will he gratefully welcomed.
