CONTEMPT OF COURT.
Hamilton. Aug. 10. Air Harry T. Gillies, a solicitor, was charged with contempt of Court by leaving the Court, hurriedly and abandoning a case on July 28th, and failing to appear when summoned by the Magistrate, Mr Burton. Defendant said that lie Avished to apologise. He realised that he should have asked leave to -withdraw. ■ The Magistrate accepted the apology, saying that he thought the solicitor acted on the spur of the moment. ...
