BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurers report, as follows, was read and adopted at Alonday night’s Council meeting:— The sum of £7BO 9s lOd was received during Hie month of July, and placed to credit as under; — District fund account £774 12s 4d, cemetery account £5 17s fid. The balances, of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 31st day of July, 1919, were as follows; —District fund account, dr., £1,120 12s 7d; cemetery account, or,, £44 17s 2d, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: Cemetery £44 17s 2d, contractor’s deposit £l, library £7 19s lOd, reserves £229 13s sd, 'sanitation,£l9 5s Sd,< town ball £99'9s Od, all in credit, a total of £402 5s 7d. The accounts at debit were: Imprest cash £lO, gas works £376 10s sd, general £661 (is 4d, hospital and charitable aid £2l 3s Bd, interest £409 0s 7d, total £1,478 Is Od. SUMMARY.
