FATAL FALL FROM TRAIN.

Wanganui, July 2l>. When the express train.from Wellington was drawing into Aramoho station to-night, a returned soldier, Pte. T. M. Kane, attempted to leave the carriage. He fell under the ■wheels, six of which passed over his body, and the seventh wheel was resting on the horribly mutilated remains when the train pulled up, and the railway staii had the gruesome job of lifting the wheel with jacks. The carriage in which the deceased had travelled was filled with soldiers.
