HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cables as follows: —Manila prices early ’ this week touched £6l for J grade, shipment' to be August, September or October, but the present market prices are from £59- to £6O. The output from Ist January to 7th July was 577,000 bales. The New Zealand market is inactive, but steady. Current spot quotations for highpoint fair £52 10s, fair £sl, ship, ment to be July to September. Lower prices have been accepted for hemp arrived owing to shortage of storage accommodation.
