WANGANUI PRESBYTERY.

At Tuesday’s meeting of the Wanganui Presbytery, the call to the Rev. J. H. Bred in, of Foxton, from the Maraekakaho congregation.was received. Messrs Hornblow, GimIctt, Wilton, Farmer, and Mesdames Hornblow and Jno. Ross, were present as representing the Foxton charge. The Foxton delegates conveyed the resolutions pased at a congregational meeting in connection with the call. The Rev. Mr Bredin feelingly acknowledged the many kindnesses extended to him by the people of the Foxton charge and by the members of Presbytery. , He stated the reasons why he intended to accept the call. The call was then placed in his hands, according to custom, and was accepted. The Rev. Mr- D.oull, M.A., was appointed moderator of the Foxton charge during the vacancy. The Rev. Mr Bredin will take his departure in about a month’s time. Steps are now being taken to obtain a minister to fill the vacancy.
