HIGH COMMISSIONER’S
REPORT.
The High Commissioner cables as v follows; — x moderate demand for J grade afloat. The current spot quotalion for J grade hemp is £55; fot shipment to ’be in July, August, or September, tire quotation is £54 15s. The New Zealand market is quiet, the quantities landed and on the way contracted for at late maximum price affecting the demand. There is a fair inquiry for forward shipments at about £sl 10s to £52 for high-point fair.
