FLAXMILL DISPUTE.
MILLERS TO APPLY FOR AWARD. At a general meeting of the New Zealand Flaxmiilers’ Association held on Friday, it was resolved to file an application-for a new award in connection with the Jlaxmills dispute. In a letter to the secretary of the Union, advising him of the Association’s intention, the secretary of the Association (Air R. 11. Spencer) 1 .writes as follows: —“As advised in previous correspondence', the offer made by the millers was the limit that could be paid in the present state of the industry. Your Union having advised its members not to work for the wages offered, it is thought that an application to the Court is the only course now open to the millers.”
