Napier, June 30,

Wilhelm Lindergreen pleaded guilty at I lie Police Court to-day to a eharge of laying totalisator odds at the Napier Park winter meeting, and was fined £SO and costs. A second charge of keeping jn’omises open for betting purposes was withdrawn. The police staled that the defendant, who was previously a watersider, took a shop and earned on betting, making £1,500 in ten months.
