REPORTED SIGNATURE. AN UNOFFICIAL MESSAGE. Melbourne, June 21. Mr W. A. Watt, the Acting-Fed-eral Prime Minister, has announced that he lias received an official wireless report that the Peace Treaty has been signed. Melbourne, Yesterday. The message received by wireless is not official. It was intercepted by Perth from Mauritius to all stations. SYDNEY’S PROGRAMME. A ROUND OF CELEBRATIONS. » Sydney, June 2-1. The official programme for the Peace celebrations, suggested for 3rd to sth August, includes united thanksgiving services, school celebrations, with the presentation of commemorative medals, a military parade, a regatta, a military tournament, sports, racing, and a Venetian carnival. A “PEACE OF VENGEANCE.” Paris, June 15 (delayed). The Socialists*at Weimar passed a resolution protesting against a “Peace of Violence” being imposed on the German people on principles inconsistent with President Wilson’s Fourteen Points, and invited an international protest against a “Peace of Venegance” unparalleled in history. ■ COUNTER-REVOLUTION IN GERMANY. MOVEMENT MAKING HEADWAY. Berlin, June 22. The Socialist press alleges that the counter-revolutionary movement is making headway in Germany. Paris, June 15 (dalayed). In Berlin crowds of Communists ! bearing red. flags and banners, attended Rosa Luxembourg’s funeral. The leaders delivered violent speeches against the Government.
