ATTACK ON A POLICE SERGEANT.
Wanganui, June 14. Police-Sergeant J. Reid, as a result of injuries received during a scuffle with three men late on Thursday night, is now in the public hospital suffering from a slight concussion. Sergeant Reid visited a suburban place of entertainment, and had occasion to remonstrate with three men outside the hall. It is stated that he was set on by the trio and badly knocked about. managed to return home, where he became unconscious. He is now progressing favourably..
