That people would stoop to such dastardly practices, which amount to barefaced robbery, seems hard to believe, but past experience has proved that some few dairy farmers would stop at nothing. AA'e are given to understand that much of the milk now being sold in "Wellington falls far short of the standard quality of milk supplied to the various dairy factories of the province, and the explanation of this is said to lie in the “doctoring” referred to above. Seeing that pure milk is one of the most essential of food commodities, and plays such an important part in the proper feeding of infants and invalids, every possible effort should -be made lo ensure the purity and richness of the milk supply of our cities, and those who wilfully adulterate the milk, or extract the nourishing properties from the same, deserve the most severe punishment the law can inflict.
