THE HEMP MARKET.
Indications (by cable l(i days old) are that London is prepared to buy at the equivalent f.o.b. N.Z. of £29 per ton for high fair and £27 per ton for low fair. This is an improvement of £1 per ton for the Aveek, but it is not considered safe at present to regard the market as established, especially in vlcav of the delays in cabling oilers and their acceptance. Millers are not at all keen to sell at the above approximate prices, having no longer any accumulated stocks of fibre on hand. They are not tempted by the current quotations.-—Evening Post.
