BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Council meeting' as follows: — The sum of £383 11s Id was received during the month of May and placed to credit as under: District fund account £3Bl 11s Id, cemetery account £2. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 31st May, 1919, were as follows: District fund account, dr., £712 7s 4cl; cemetery account, cr., £33, 9s Sd; and the ledg--er balances at the same date as follows i —Cemetery £33 9s Bd, hospital and charitable aid £lO 10s 9d, library £9 11s 3d, reserves £251 9s Od, sanitation £26 19s, town hall £4B, interest £95 3s Id, all in credit, a total of £4Bl 2s 9d. The accounts at debit were: Imprest cash £lO, gasworks £403 9s Id, general £OB6 11s 4d, total £1,160 0s sd. SUMMARY, A/cs in ered, 481 2 9 Bank bal. D.F.
