The defended divorce suit, Marjory Stewart Barton v. It is with extreme regret that we have to record the death of Mrs F. H. Crawley, of Marotiri, which took place in a private hospital in Palmerston North just before midday to-day. The deceased lady, who is a daughter of Mr and Airs Frank Robinson, of Foxton, underwent an operation yesterday, and passed away without, regaining consciousness. Much sympathy is felt for (he husband and parents.

The members of All Saints’ Ladies’ Guild have decided to revive their popular children’s party. For many years past this has been a long-looked-for event in the minds of the children, and there tvas great regret when, owing to the many calls of the war, it was discontinued for a time. Tickers are now being sold, and no doubt the party will he as successful and happy a function as those of bygone years.

It is considered fairly cert ain now (Inti no (Jerumn mines are anchored in (he minefields off the JS’cw Zealand coast, though-precautions are still being observed by shipping’. The only mines located in the recent month have been those found on the (-oast where they had drifted ashore. The number of mines accounted Tor is approximately -15, out of (10 mines laid. It is exceedingly improbable that all the mines will ever be accounted for, since some may have sunk and others drifted unexploded on unsettled portions of the coast.
