MASONIC.
The installation of Bro. S, E. Cowley as IV.M. of the local Masonic Lodge, and investiture of officers, took place in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday afternoon. The ceremony was conducted by RAY. Bro. J. A* Nash, P.G.S.W., as Installing Master, assisted by R.IV. Bro. IV. H. Smith, T.G.J.W., and IV. Bros. Cameron, A. Clarke, IT. Smart, and J. IV. Stevenson. IVor. Bro. ■J. K. ITornblow officiated as Director of Ceremonies. The following officers were invested: —IV.M,, Bro., S. E.’ Cowley; 1.P.M., IVor. Bro. J. IV. Stevenson; SAY., Bro, IV. Kenton; JAY., Bro. J. M. Barr; Chaplain, IVor. Bro. Rev. J. IT. Bredin; Secretary, Bro. A. E. A Vain wright; Treasurer, IVor. Bro. E. Healey; S.D., Bro. IA T . H. J. Claris; J.D., Bro. R. MeMurray; 1.G., Bro. C. M, Cronquest; D.C., IVor. Bro. J. K, Hornblow; Tyler, Wor. Bro. F. IV. de Bidder; Auditor, Bro. F. D. IVhibley; Organist, Wor. Bro. W. E. Bullard.
In the Town Hall during the evening the' members entertained the visiting brethren and lady friends at a social. The interior of the hall was tastefully decorated by Bros. Claris and Cronquest. IV. Bro. Cowley extended a cordial welcome to the visitors ami ladies. R. Wor. Bro. Smith responded to the welcome on behalf of the visitors in happy vein. R. W»r. Bro. J. A. Nash, as M.C.,
carried out his duties to the satisfaction of all. The music was supplied by Miss Reeve, and the catering was in the bands of W. Bro. Remain. During the evening vocal items were contributed by Miss Bryanf and Bros. Holbou and Cowley. Everyone present spent a most enjoyable time.
