INCITING A STRIKE.

NEWSPAPER EDITOR FINED. William Kraig, editor of the Maoriland Worker, and John Glover, publisher, Avere charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with inciting a seditious strike. The (barge arose out of a letter published in the Worker urging every worker in the meat trade to refuse to take part in producing or distributing meat until New Zealand’s meal was supplied at a reasonable rate, or as an alternative to go slow. Pleas of guilty were entered, and the charge was described by the Crown as a serious one, Kraig wafj lined £SO and Glover £lO.
