DISTRICT HOSPITAL ESTIMATES.
Tin; estimates for the year 101020 were tabled at Thursday’s meeting of the Palmerston District Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. The receipts, which were estimated at £29,720, included balance at 31st March, 1010, £221, outstanding subsidy £1,0(515, payments by patients, (estimated) £2,250, pensions and payments from inmates of Old People’s Home (estimated) £750, refund by Government on account of epidemic expenditure and pensions £2,3(i0, contributions from local bodies £8,02(5, subsidy on same £6,040, contributions from Horowheima district £SOO, subsidy £SOO. The estimated expenditure eomprisf os £1(5,030, on account of (he hospital, Old People's Home £2,300, Charitable Aid £2,360. The detailed items on account of the hospital include capital expenditure £1,380, maintenance of buildings and grounds £I,OOO, salaries £6,000, provisions £2,500, surgery and dispensary £I,OOO, wines and spirits £IOO, fuel and lighting £1,500, laundry, chandlery and water £SOO, insurance £l5O, legal expenses £IOO, interest on loan (buildings) £1,395. The following levies have been made on the Incut bodies comprising the hospital district, for the current year: Kiwitea County Council £8(51, Pohangina County Council £517, Kainmga County Council £1,284. Oriiiia Comity Council £1,277, .Maim wain County Council £1,545, Palinerslon North Borough £1.272, Feilding Borough Council' £352, Foxion Borough Council £lO7, Rongotea Town Board £l6, Ilorowhenua Comity Council £1,441, Levin Borough Councily £124, Shannon Borough Council £sl, Otaki Town Board £B2.
