ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
Special 'children’s services were held in All Saints’ Church on Sunday last, at both the morning and evening services. The children rendered special hymns under the conductorship of Mr R. T. Betty, to whom a special word of praise is due for the wonderful way in which he had taught the children. In each item the balance was good, while the attack and release left nothing to be desired. The services Avere well attended, and on every hand nothing but good has been said of tlie children’s singing. In the afternoon a children’s service was held, the singing being entirely done by the children. During this service Mrs Raine presented prizes Avon by the children during the past year. The following is the list of prizewinners:—Girls: Gladsome Mcssena, Hurtle Irving, -Eileen Irving, Thelma Bunting, Rita Robinson, Dolly Lee, Bessie Crowe, Kitty Coley, Elsie Coley, Caroline Coley, Thelma Leo, Eunice Lee, Mavis Rand. Boys; Jack CroAve, Ken. Robinson, Cecil Erancis, Melville Francis, Harry Burr, George Coley, Berny Crowe, Nelson Ball, Walter Ncwth, Allen Furrie, Rex Ball, Envy Ball, Neil Henricksen. Mrs C. H. Symons presented tAvo special prizes. The Vicar awarded them to the boy and girl obtaining the highest number of marks during the year. Glad-some Messina. Avon one, and Jack Crowe the other. It is intended to hold similar services yearly.
