CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir. —I do not wish to be a “mis-chief-making critic" of the Foxton School Committee, for, as a parent of school children, I am sure we are very deeply grateful to those gentlemen who have given up so much of their valuable time in making the school environment so desirable. With the knowledge of a larger school than Foxton, I must say that the improvements which were carried out at the late school by (he Committee was a monument to their energy and thoughtfulness, and they certainly deserve the best thanks of every parent in the town. But it seems to me, Sir, that' instead of that they have been subjected to much personal abuse. The only suggestion I make is.that two women be elected on the new Committee'. My reason for making this suggestion is that the school, being of mixed sexes, there are some little, yet important, matters- concerning the welfare of little girls that may bo overlooked except bywomen in the important work of ef|uipping the new school. Thanking you in anticipation. —I am, etc., MOTHER.
