.REPORTED PROPOSAL EOR A STRIKE.

ll is understood that (edegrams have been received in Dunedin and Invercargill from the general secretary of the Locomotive, Drivers’ firemen and Cleaners’ Association stating that the proposals by the Minister arc unsatisfactory, and that ballot papers are being forwarded, presumably to enable members to take a vote on the question of a strike.
