CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir. —I read in Tuesday’s issue of the “Herald” a letter from “Blazes,” calling on the owners of German pianos to make a burnt sacrifice on Peace Night. Well, “Blazes,” I have a German piano (a good one, too), which I am willing to ,sacrifice providing “Blazes”' will replace it with a British one. Now is the time for sacrifices, as “Blazes” said, but ray purse is not big enough to allow me lo burn my German piano. “Blazes” must be very wealthy, or he would not talk such nonsense. If “Blazes” will make the sacrifice and buy me a, new one, I will sacrifice the German piano, although it will be like parting with an old friend. There is plenty of rubbish in Union Street that would make a bigger blaze for “Blazes" than all the German pianos in Eoxton. lam patriotic, but I use a little coramonsen.se, Thanking you, Mr Editor, —1 am, etc.,
