A SERIOUS OFFENCE
YOUNG WOMAN FORGES SAVINGS BANK BOOK. Dunedin, March 2(5. At the Police Court to-day a young woman named Ellen Mary Reid pleaded guilty to three charges of making false documents by making material additions'to.her Post Office Savings Bank book with the intention that they should he acted upon as genuine. The evidence for the prosecution siiowed that the accused received various sums of money on behalf of a Mrs Logan for deposit in the Savings Bank. The total was about £l5B. The money has not been deposited. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
