On Thursday afternoon a team of six hoys representing the Boston school travelled to Rangiotu. in charge of one of flic teachers, lo play a friendly match. ’flu 1 play, which was more oven Ilian Ihe scores indicate, resulted in a win tor Foxton hy 7 games lo 2. The scores are as under; — Singles.—K. Hirini (Foxton) 120, heat H. Williamson (Rangiotu) 12; IT. Jewell (Rangiotu) 20, heat K. Robinson 13; R. Bnrnelt (I'oxton) 20, heal X. Simpson 8; R. Lawton (Foxton) 20, boat D. Glendinning 13; C. Francis (Fox(on) 20, lioal 1. Cooksley 13; C. Cooper (Rangiotu) 20, beat J. Burr 13. Doubles, —ITirini and Robinson (Foxton) 20, heat Williamson and Jewell IB; Burnell, and Lawton (Foxton) 20, heal Glendinning and Simpson 14; Francis and Burr (Foxton) 20, heal Cooksley and Cooper It). Total points: Foxton Kid, otu 137. The visitors wore very hospitably enierlained, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. A return, match is lo be arranged shortly.
