.Mi--r.' Chapman, Skerrell,.Tripp aiid Blair, aeting on behalf of Mr John S, Swan, architect, of Wellington, served a writ: on the Rev. Father S. Mahoney, parish priest for Wellington Central, on Saturday, (daiming the sum of .CtibO damages for alleged slander said to have been made on the elaimanl in certain references concerning the finances of St. Patrick's Hall and St. .Mary of the Angels Church, Boulcoil Street. John Sidney Swan and Francis Herbert Swan, architects, were employed in connect ion with the valuation of damage done by fire in respect |o St. Mary of the Angels Church, also in connection with the removal of the damaged tower of the church, and with certain repair work in the school. —Dominion.
