FORGED TEX SIHLLIXG NOTES
A clever forgery of the Bank of Xew Zealand pink len shilling note has just been discovered. The forged noles are on pink coloured paper, bid (he printing has a chocolate tinge, and is nul nearly so clear and distinct as that .of the genuine notes, and the, paper is not watermarked. All the forgeries which have come lo lighl so far hear (he same number —Xo. 555171, and purport io he signed by “L. AI. Little."
The public can easily protect i liemselves by refusing (o accept any pink Bank of Xew Zealand ten shilling noles except such as arc watermarked. Each genuine note bears a large watermark, thus: —
BA X K O F XEW ZEALAND
which eau readily lie observed by bolding (be noie up to Hie light.
