A meeting of the committee of the Foxton Bowling Club was hold on Tuesday evening. Mr A. Hawke was unanimously elected to fill the vacancy on the Committee. A letter was read from (ho Levin Club, asking if it was intended to continue the triangular contests between the Foxton, Levin and Shannon Clubs this yegr, and the secretary was instructed to reply staling that Foxton was in favour of continuing the contests. The question of Foxton's representatives at: the Centre champion of champions competition at Palmerston North'this month was discussed, and if was decided that Xye, Ri miner, F. Whibley and Hawke should play off to decide who should represent Foxton in the singles. The draw resulted as follows: —Xye plays Eimmer, and F. Whibley plays Hawke. The two winners will then play off, and the successful one will be Foxton’s representative. For the pairs the singles player will be skip, and select bis own lead. Accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting terminated. Next Wednesday five rinks from the Foxton Club will pay a visit to Feilding. All players who wish to make the trip are requested to put their names on the hoard at the green without delay, so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
