ALL SAINTS’ GARDEN PARTY.
There are few such cool and shady spots in Foxton as were to lie found at the vicarage on Wednesday afternoon, when a garden party took place. There were a , large number of people present to enjoy the delicious tea, served under Hie trees by Alesdani.es C. Symons, Aloorhouse, and helpers, while Airs F. Robinson cheered the hearts of the younger members with many surprise packets of all kinds. In another shady nook ice creams and sweets were presided over by the ■Misses Barber and Ina Robinson. An excellent produce stall was in the care of Mrs Harvey, where pickles, sauces, vegetables and cakes wore for sale. Ample justice was done here. Al a stall of ladies’ and children’s clothing, fancy bags, etc., Mesdames Easton, Barber and Christie set off their wares in enticing fashion, and had an excellent sale. Some beautiful (lowers from Airs Easton’s well known garden increased the funds to a great extent. The children all had a thoroughly happy time, and many questions were asked as to “when can we have another party?”
