The following is an ext nod from (lie Tamworth Observer relating to the American Chautauqua, which will commence a season of one week al Levin on Monday next, March 3rd:—
The best of musical and dramatic entertainment is in store for Tamworlh. If your doctor will not allow you to laugh, do not come near the jolly brown lent. Such a community spirit as will be generated in Tamworth by this vi.-il of Clianlaviqua has never been fell before. Between 30 and 40 ereme-de-luxo exponents of every branch of literature, music, science and drama will devote themselves during six days (o utterly banish dull care and remove cobwebs from the mental machines of their audiences. Never before has il been possible Tor you (o have such a galaxy of festivity right at your very doors as this festivity of Chautauqua has only become possible through (he enterprise and unselfishness of (he Tamworlh Hon. Chautauqua Committee, who have thrown themselves determinedly into this movement, which they know will be to Hie advantage of everyone in the district.
