SOLDIERS’ VOTES.
In the latest Government Gazelle amended regulations are published giving further facilities for New Zealand soldiers who are likely to he at sea on the date of the poll to record their voles on (lie Licensing Referendum Poll, which is to be taken on the 10th of April.
The regulations provide that the High Commissioner in London shall arrange to place on board all transports carrying any members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, leaving ports in Europe, Asia, or Egypt between February 14th and April 10th, for this Dominion ballot boxes together with a sufficient supply of ballot papers for the recording of votes of the men on board those vessels. Those papers will be transmitted' to the Chief Electoral Officer on the ships arrival in New Zealand, and shall he counted hy him and added to the votes polled in the Dominion.
