A FAITHFUL DOG.
/ Hobart, Jan. 9. Although an open verdict was returned in the Pelham murder case, in which the victim, John Dnneomho, a farmer, was found shot in a lonely cottage, on December 91 h, the police are cunt inning then- investigations, and it is practically certain that other proceedings will result. A pathetic figure in the tragedy in the murdered man’s dog, a Scotch collie. All efforts to induce the dog to leave the spot have been futile. Day and night'it lies beneath a pine tree-in front of (he hut, with eyes fixed on ilie door, waiting for the master who will never come.
