DEATH OF A VETERAN.
New Plymouth, Yesterday. Mr William Henry Free, aged 93, is dead. He enlisted in the 58th Regiment in 1842, and came to Hobart in the following year as guard over convicts. He served in Done HekeNi war, and attained the rank of lieutenant of volunteers in the Taranaki -War.
