THE MOUTOA SCHOOL.
There lias been an agitation afoot for several years past by the Marotiri settlers to have a school erected in their locality on the ground that the Moutoa school is too' distant to meet the convenience of their children, Several conferences were held between the settlers and the authorities on the subject. The Department has now authorised the Board to remove the Moutoa school to a more central site, instead of erecting a new school at Marotiri. This compromise should he satisfactory to all parties concerned.
