ONE BIG UNION.
A LABOUR CONFERENCE. The conference of representatives of the various Labour Federations throughout New Zealand, called by the New Zealand . Federation of Labour, has now been fixed for 28tb January. The meetings will take place in Wellington. It is understood that an endeavour will be made to federate all the existing federations in one big body; in short, the policy of forming what is generally known as “One Big Union” will be discussed. It is impossible to give any idea of the general attitude of unionists to the “One Big Union” idea.—Post.
