D.KTAILS OF WAU LOANS. Auckland, Jan. (!. In a statement published a few days ago, (he Ifon. Arthur flyers, Acting-Minister for Finance, slated that New Zealand's war expenses to November 30th, BUS, amounted to £54,000,000, (he interest and sinking fund to the latter sum being aboul £3,500,000. On being interviewed to-day, Mr Myers slated that of £04,000,000 borrowed, £l,110,000 had been raised at 31 per cent, interest, 4 : | millions at 4 per cent, interest, 3S millions at 44 per cent., and 101 millions at 5 per cent. He added (hat 221 millions had been raised in London, and 411 millions in New Zealand. The amount of the loans raised in New Zealand for war purposes from April .Ist. 1018, till the 10th ultimo was a little over fourteen millions. For other purposes 11 millions had been subscribed.
